Job Openings:

Temporary Bookkeeper

Historic Seattle is looking for a temporary part-time bookkeeper, approximately one day a week for approximately 3 months. Experience with QuickBooks and Excel are necessary. This position reports to the Director of Finance and starts as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile monthly bank accounts, credit cards, receivables and payables using QuickBooks for three entities: Historic Seattle Public Development Authority, Historic Seattle Foundation, and The Cadillac Hotel LLC.
  • Post monthly accruals and keep schedules current for all entities
  • Monitor rent invoicing and receipts and keep track of increases for tenants managed by Historic Seattle
  • Use Excel to create journal entries to update monthly trial balance data for two properties managed by an outside property manager
  • Assist with payroll as needed
  • Produce preliminary monthly report for Foundation and LLC

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two or more years accrual accounting experience using QuickBooks
  • Some college level accounting course work
  • Strong computing skills and fluency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations and restricted funds preferred 

Compensation:

Hourly rate DOE; free on-site parking.
