As a Public Development Authority, Historic Seattle has been actively engaged in the direct preservation of historic buildings since 1974. From Pioneer Square’s Cadillac Hotel to the mid-century modern Egan House, Historic Seattle has acquired and rehabilitated properties once thought impossible to save. As an advocate for preserving historic places, Historic Seattle’s council, staff and volunteers know what it takes to turn an endangered building into one that is saved and economically viable for future generations.
