On Wednesday, May 20th, 2009, Historic Seattle members and friends met in the Northern Lights Dome Room of the Arctic Club Hotel to clelbrate Historic Seattle's 35th Anniveresary and honor recipients of the First Annual Preservation Awards. With awards for Best Adaptive Reuse Project, Stewardship of Public Buildings, Preserving Neighborhood Character, Community Partnership for Historic Preservation, and Preservation Education and Publications, the inaugural awards set the stage for the high quality projects to be honored in the future years.
