Nitze-Stagen logo

Nitze-Stagen:

Founded in 1970, Nitze-Stagen is a private investment firm offering unique expertise in commercial and industrial property development. Through creative investment strategies and imaginative adaptive reuse, Nitze-Stagen has helped catalyze development and strengthen communities. The 2003 Starbucks Center in SODO and the redevelopment of Union Station in the International District are two examples of their successful approach to development.

 

 

DKA logo

DKA:

onald King, President and CEO of DKA, founded the architectural firm in 1985 and has built it around principles of creativity, diversity and sustainability. DKA has developed a strong presence in the Pacific Northwest and Western United States. The company has designed facilities for educational and residential buildings as well as healthcare and community services. They have also completed important work on adaptive reuse historic projects such as redesigning the Colman School, built in 1907, to house the Urban League Village in Seattle.

 

Lease Crutcher Lewis logo

Lease Crutcher Lewis:

Lease, Crutcher, Lewis came to Seattle in 1939 and has since helped develop and shape Puget Sound that we know today. Led by current Chairman Jim Crutcher and President Bill Lewis, the company helped build on numerous projects such as the main terminal of SeaTac Airport in 1949. Other works include the rehabilitation of Saint James Cathedral in 1995 and 1999 and the conversion of the Cobb Apartments in 2006. As a brand new corporate member, Historic Seattle would like to welcome and thank them in joining our mission of historic preservation.

 

Perkins & Will

Perkins + Will:

Perkins + Will was founded in 1935 and continues to be a worldwide leader for exceptional client services and superb architectural designs. With offices in nearly every continent, the firm contributed to the design and construction of many of the world’s corporate and commercial buildings. Their Seattle branch office is headed by Director Kay Kornovich and Design Director Doug Streeter, who are both dedicated to reduced energy consumption and the sustainability of our environment. Their list of clients includes the King County Metro and Vulcan. Historic Seattle would like to welcome our new corporate member and thank them for accepting our cause for historic preservation.

 

 Gly Construction

GLY Construction:

Current CEO Lee Kilcup and CFO Steve Peterson help guide GLY Construction as the company continues to focus on a team-build approach, developing relationships with clients and building professionals. Founded in 1967, they continue to work with prominent companies such as Vulcan and Weyerhaeuser. One of their works in progress includes the building of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellevue.

 

Coughlin Porter Lundeen

Coughlin Porter Lundeen:

Engineers, Jim Coughlin, Steve Porter and Terry Lundeen came together in 1994 to start the structural and civil engineering firm, Coughlin, Porter, Lundeen. The company has worked on several projects including the conversion of the Starbuck’s Coffee Company’s Corporate Headquarters. The company has also worked on several restoration projects such as the Cadillac Hotel in 2006 and the Arctic Club Hotel in 2007.

 

Historic Seattle has recently enhanced the benefits for our Corporate members. With a gift of $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 corporations have the opportunity to place a web link and logo on our website and also use our historic buildings for meetings and staff retreats.
