The Advisory Board was established by Historic Seattle and the City to provide a means for continuing community participation in the development and management of the Good Shepherd Center. The purpose of the Board is to recommend policies, monitor management, and advise on areas needing improvement; to Historic Seattle for the Good Shepherd Center, and the Seattle Parks Department for the site and Meridian Playground. The Committee is composed of representatives of the Wallingford Community Council, Senior Center, Chamber of Commerce, GSC tenants, Historic Seattle, and Parks Department. The Committee meets every other month at the GSC and is currently advising Historic Seattle on emergency planning, building signage, and other community matters.
