Thank you for your interest in 'hands on' volunteer opportunities. Historic Seattle has a portfolio of four specific properties all located in Seattle.
Periodically we are in need of individuals or groups who have a specific skill or talent to assist us in maintaining these properties. Some of our needs in the past have included
- painting the exterior of the Good Shepherd Center
- helping to put up shelving in the Northwest Resource Center
- painting the interiors of the properties
- helping to remove debris from the property
- assistance with seasonal decorations for various properties
If you or your group would like to be contacted when these opportunities arise, please contact Manager of Volunteers & Events, Luci J Baker Johnson, to get your name and contact information added to the list of contacts.
IMPROVERS
Historic Seattle is exploring the idea of establishing a team of volunteers who have a desire to 'get their hands dirty.' That is, people who would like to join others -- on a monthly basis -- to assist with building painting projects, yard work, and small construction or remodel projects.
If you have skills or interests in being part of this team, please contact Luci J Baker Johnson. We're also looking for one person or a team of two volunteers who would be willing to be the Project Lead for this inititative. The team will work with staff at the Good Shepherd Center, and, if the idea catches on, other properties as well.
