For Rent

Historic Seattle owns and manages three commercial properties for lease or short term rental. These include the Good Shepherd Center, the Good Shepherd Center Chapel, and the Dearborn Carriage House. Historic Seattle also owns and or manages four residential properties for rent. These include the Egan House, William B. Phillips, Victorian Row, and Good Shepherd Center Artist Live/Work Apartments.

The Good Shepherd Center

The Good Shepherd Center is located at 4649 Sunnyside Avenue North in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle. The 1906 building is home to dozens of organizations and schools serving a wide range of interest groups. For more information visit GSC Tenant Leasing Information.

The Chapel at the Good Shepherd Center

Built in 1906, the Good Shepherd Center offers and intimate performance and rehearsal space within the restored 4 th floor chapel. Accessible by elevator, this beautiful two-story space features original wood floors, stained glass windows, original columns and woodworking. Historic Seattle partnered with NonSequitur, a music production non-profit that not only stages twelve of their own performances per month, but serves as booking agent for other community events and performances in the chapel.

Dearborn Carriage House

The Carriage House is a stand alone, 770 square foot, office within a historic 1907 structure adjacent to the Dearborn House located at 1117 Minor Avenue on First Hill in Seattle. The 1167 square foot, 1 bedroom, 1 ½ bath residence located within the St. Mark’s Greenbelt is currently rented. The William B. Phillips and Victorian Row Apartments are both low-income properties managed by Housing Resource Group (HRG). A 501(c)3 non-profit organization, HRG’s mission is to make excellent affordable housing available for the residents and communities they serve. Good Shepherd Center Artist Loft

Historic Seattle is very pleased to have been able to add six units of artist live/work space to the vibrant, creative, diverse mix of use and activities that is the Good Shepherd Center. Construction on the units, ranging in size from 580 to 650 square feet, began in the summer of 2001 on the south end of the top floor of the Center, in an open attic space once used for the school’s dance classes and costume storage. Featuring full kitchens and baths, the units have open floor plans with high ceilings, large windows, and lofts. These income restricted units are currently rented. Belmont/Boylston Historic Houses

The historic Belmont Boylston apartment building is located at 1411 Boylston Avenue between East Pike and East Union Streets in Seattle. The building features 16 single room occupancy units with 5 shared restrooms, on-site tenant storage and washer/dryer facilities conveniently located on Capitol Hill.
