The Ward House, believed to be Seattle's oldest house, was donated to Historic Seattle in 1974 by Dr. and Mrs. Michael Buckley. David Leen and Bradford Moore worked with Historic Seattle to relocate the structure to its present location on the corner of East Denny Way and Belmont Avenue on April 6, 1986.

 

 

Current and Future Uses:

The Ward House is now used for professional offices. It gained official City of Seattle Landmark status on December 13, 1976 (Ord. #106067). The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
